Take No Thought for Tomorrow
In the Bible, Jesus tells us to take no thought for tomorrow; that the Kingdom of Heaven reaches hand. He emphasizes residing in today's moment, in the eternal Now. He gives us the important thing to peace and eternal life. These are the Heralds of Eternity!
God is pure love, and God desires to reveal pure love where everything is shared. “In the holy instant God is remembered, and the language of communication with all of your brothers is remembered with Him.” (T-15.VI.8) In the holy instant, we remember God. There's no concealment, and you will find no private thoughts, no worries or concerns money for hard times, or regrets in regards to the past. It's an event of perfect peace. This is what Jesus is calling us into.
We're asked to release our ideas about time. We may have thought that something was missing before, and we took action to use and correct it, dreaming about an improved future. But Jesus says, “Don't hope for an improved future. a course in miracles podcast The long run is really a trick! Now is all there is.”
And so we are now asking ourselves the question, what's it exactly about? What is the reason for this world and for my relationships? What is the purpose of time and space? Jesus tells us that today's moment may be the point. Our vocation of healing (of the mind) may be the point.
How Practical Is This?
Jesus and the Holy Spirit have a plan for every single and everyone of us. It's very precise, and it's individualized. In each moment, they instruct us where to go, how to proceed, and who to be with. They instruct us what books to see, what movies to watch, what to eat, and what to not eat. We receive instructions on how to get our daily bread, when it comes to inspiration and also food, clothing, shelter. The Spirit is indeed practical. Whenever we give our mind to living and experiencing the holy instant, the Holy Spirit provides everything we want in Earth terms.
When you will find plans to be made, i will be told of them. “You need take thought for nothing, careless of everything except the sole purpose that you would fulfill.” (T-20.IV.8) In lesson 135, he tells us:
“A healed mind doesn't plan. It carries out the plans that it receives through listening to wisdom that is not its own. It waits until it's been taught what should be performed, and then proceeds to complete it. It doesn't depend upon itself for anything except its adequacy to fulfill the plans assigned to it. It's secure in certainty that obstacles can not impede its progress to accomplishment of any goal that serves the higher plan established for the nice of everyone.” (W-pI.135.11)
